Als wir nach Marokko reisten, hatten wir paradiesische Bilder im Kopf – ein Märchen aus 1001 Nacht, Zauber, Mystik und Schlangenbeschwörer. Das Land ist so vielfältig. Hier prallen Gegensätze mit voller Wucht aufeinander. Das hektische Treiben Marrakeschs, brennende Hitze in der Wüste und saftige Wiesen im Norden. Hier vermischt sich orthodoxer Islam mit Heiligenglauben und islamische Baukunst mit Berberburgen. Marokko besticht durch seine Gegensätze, im Positiven wie im Negativen.
Also machten wir uns auf den Weg und folgten unseren Bildern im Kopf.

As we travelled to Morocco, we had paradisiacal images in our heads – a fairy tale of 1001 Nights, magic, mysticism and snake charmers. The country is so diverse that opposites confront each other with full force. The hustle and bustle of Marrakech, burning heat of the desert and lush meadows in the north. Here orthodox Islam is mixed with Holy Faith and Islamic architecture with Berber castles. Morocco enjoys opposites, in both positive and negative.
So we made our way and followed our images in our heads.
